The past two weeks at home for the Ams have felt like a vacation. Cruising past opponents to a perfect 6-0 start to the home stand. The final game before Tri City heads back on the road would be a rivalry showdown. That's right Spokane trying to crash the home party.
In the first period, Mitch Wahl with power and determination tallies his 22nd goal of the year. It gave the Chiefs the 1-0 lead.
Fast forward to the 3rd period. Spokane leading 2 to 1. Tri City failed to clear the puck and that coasted the Ams. Kyle Beach the wrister from the point and slipped it past Alexander Perchurskiy. That made the score 3 to 1
Then the gloves come off. Brett Plouffe attacking Blake Gal for drilling Kruise Reddick into the boards. Both players received game misconducts.
Ams still down two goals in the third, until Adam Hughesman deflects Brooks Macek's shot on the power play. That made it 3-2.
And that would be your final as well, with Spokane winning in the Tri City.
