PASCO, Wash;-- Chiawana High School in Pasco put together a music fundraiser to help Haiti.
The five-hour concert was put together by students and faculty after they learned of the massive earthquake. Students tell us they're proud to be apart of the effort to help.
"I saw the people in Haiti and they were suffering and I wanted to help any way I could," Alexander Schell, a sophomore at Chiawana High School said. "I figured this was the best thing I could do since I don't really have much money to help out myself."
Money gathered from today's concert donations will go directly to the Red Cross. It will then be shipped to Haitian families in need.
