More people working from home

KENNEWIC, Wash;--According to the the U.S. Census, the number of people working from home rose by nearly 2 million between 1999 and 2005; making the total number of people working from home 11.3 million. 
     

Home based workers now make up 8% of the total U.S. workforce. 

Census research shows that only half of these workers had college degrees, but  half of them still earned at least $75,000 a year.      
    

The most popular work-from-home jobs are in business, repair services, finance and real estate.
