PROSSER, Wash. - A local high school senior is working on a graduation project that hits close to home. His goal is to help raise awareness for autism.
Prosser High Senior, Cameron Peck will be hosting a benefit concert. He's calling it 'Rockin For Autism'. Cameron says he was inspired by his younger brother who has been living with autism. He says he understands the disorder is sweeping the world which is why he wants to spread awareness, starting with his community. "I've seen the struggles, the day to day struggles that it takes for not only the families, friends, everybody. Because people have to change to live with somebody who has autism. So to help find a cure for that would be amazing for many people," said Peck.
'Rockin For Autism' will take place next Saturday at the Princess Theatre in Prosser. The show is free and starts at 7 p.m. All donations will go to the local Autism chapter to help fund research.
