More than 200 people jumped into the Columbia River today for the Polar Plunge event at Columbia Park.
While it's all for a good cause and goes toward the Washington Special Olympics, participants say jumping in the water can be intimidating.
"It is probably the worst feeling. It takes the breath away, but you know it's for a great cause, but I can barely talk because I'm so cold," Joe Burrowes says as he shivers his way to find a towel.
Organizers of the group say they raised $40,000, which is more money raised than Seattle's law enforcement.
