Habitat for Humanity needs qualified applicants

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, Wash.--  Habitat for Humanity is running out of people to build homes for.

They think people are afraid to apply for a home and that's reducing applicants.

They're also finding people who do apply are in such bad financial shape they don't qualify.

Currently Habitat for Humanity has four homes under construction, but after that, they don't have anyone to build for.

Good news though, their Re-Store has been up next door on Wellsian Way for about six months and they say business has been better than ever, with hundreds of customers on the weekends.
