TOPPENISH, Wash. -- A man accused of a burglary is in jail after taking Yakima County Sheriff's Deputies and Wapato Police on a high speed chase Thursday. The chase started just before 5:00 Thursday afternoon after deputies tried to stop the vehicle on North Track Road, but the driver took off. The chase reached speeds up to 90-miles an hour. Spike strips were set out on Lateral One Road, which blew out the front tires on the suspect's car. He then tried to flee on foot, but a deputy tazed him and he was taken into custody.
