TOPPENISH--The Washington State Patrol is searching for a man who hit two pedestrians with his car, then fled the scene.
It happened at the intersection of West First Avenue and Toppenish Avenues at about 6:20 p.m.
Troopers say a 31-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were crossing First Avenue when they were hit by a silver or light colored two-door car.
Police believes it was either a Pontiac or Chevrolet; they do not know the driver's license plate. Troopers say the car has a significantly damaged windshield and lost a yellow reflector lens cap in the accident.
The extent of the pedestrians' injuries is unknown, however by Sunday morning both had been discharged from Toppenish Community Hospital in stable condition.
