Washington Policy Center opens new office in Kennewick
KENNEWICK, Wash;--The Washington Policy Center celebrated the kick-off of their new eastern Washington office today in Kennewick.
The organization researches state policies. They use their findings to educate the general public and to give to legislators to help them make decisions on state issues.
Chris Cargill, the director of the eastern Washington office says this will be a way to help Tri-Cities issues reach Olympia.
"Tri-Cities issues, as you know, are much different than Seattle issues, much different than Spokane issues," says Cargill. "So we want to make sure the Tri-Cities gets another voice in Olympia and we hope to be the voice, and we hope to be a megaphone in Olympia and statewide for Tri-Cities issues."
The office encourages people to come to their new office in the Tri-Cities Business and Visitors Center with any questions or concerns they have about state issues and policies.
