Yakima Sportsman Show battles sunny weather, but pulls good attendance
YAKIMA, Wash. -- Organizers of the annual Yakima Sportsman Show say this year's event was a success.
Early estimates put attendance at around 7,500 people. The show is in its 21st year and brings in vendors from all over the Northwest. Rob Phillips says vendors know Central Washington is a good place to have a booth and meet customers.
"It's a big outdoor area lots of hunters, lots of anglers, hikers, campers and so people know this is a good market, they come to this show to try and reach that market," said Phillips, State Fair Park.
Besides the vendors, Phillips says people come every year for the children's trout pond and to see the award winning deer and elk heads.
