A well-known pastor has returned to the Tri-Cities after a four-year break in California.
We sat down with Pastor Willie Howard today. For years she preached to crowds of hundreds at her church House of Prayer for all Nations. She tells us she can't stay away from the Tri-Cities because she feels it is her calling to be here and help people in need.
Willie talked about a moment long ago, when she realized becoming a pastor was her life goal.
"This girl struggling with drugs walked up to me one day. She said "can you help me?" I said you know what, I'm getting ready to help you, I'm not ready yet, I've got things to learn, but I will be seeing you pretty soon," Howard said.
She went back to the woman later and helped her, through her teachings, become clean of drugs. Telling that story brings a sparkle to Willie's eyes. She wants that sparkle to spread here once again. She's currently looking for a church building in the Tri-Cities so she can start preaching again.
