SEATTLE - State health officials say the spread of swine flu has slowed in Washington state, but the illness has not disappeared.
Health Department spokesman Tim Church says five more people have been hospitalized with swine flu during the past week, but no more deaths have been reported.
A total of 76 people have died of swine flu in Washington state since Sept. 19. Nearly 1,400 people have been hospitalized because of the illness. The department is happy to report that this year's seasonal flu has been mild so far, but it's only February.
Church encourages people to continue to get vaccinated. He says there's lots of vaccine available in doctor's offices around the state.
