Church donating unique item to Haiti

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash.--  Haiti is entering their rainy season, and they needs tarps because not only are very few buildings left, but all that rain could mean the spread of diseases like malaria.

World Life Christian Center and Fastenal in Pasco are teaming up to deliver hundreds of tarps to the region surrounding the epicenter of the quake.

They are asking for your help to buy tarps for five dollars a piece.

Now one thing developing in Haiti is corporate donations are being sold at higher prices to the Haitian people, so the government has confiscated those items and are taxing them.

But non-profits like World Life will continue to get these tarps on the ground and covering families from the sun and rain very soon.

If you would like to donate, the number is 509-380-0008.
