Who Will the Fever's QB #1 Be?

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- What do you look for in a starting quarterback? Tri-Cities Fever Head Coach Adam Shackleford has already answered that question .

Now, he just has to figure out who his starter will be. Former Zillah Leopard standout Andy Collins and Houston Lillard out of Southwest Missouri State are both competing for the job.

Shackleford says he is not only looking for a quarterback who is accurate and good in the huddle, but one who has great leadership.

Both quarterbacks just want to play.

"We're all here to compete," said Collins. "It makes no difference who it is. I want to play. He wants to play. Everybody wants to play. So, all you can do is worry about yourself and make sure every rep counts."

"I just want to learn and get better from my mistakes and learn from Andy," said Lillard. "I want to ask questions when I need answers and attack it like like we are teammates because we still got to play on the same team regardless of who's starting and who's not starting."
