RICHLAND, Wash. -- A construction worker on the Hanford site was killed Monday when a Bobcat machine pinned him.
A spokesperson for the Bonneville Power Administration says Kelly Loyd of Castle Rock was doing some excavation work at the White Bluff's substation when he was injured. He was taken to Kadlec Medical Center where he died.
"We are confident that we have the right people on this accident investigation board and confident we will have it. They'll have everything at their disposal to complete a thorough, accurate and solid accounting of what occurred yesterday," said Doug Johnson, spokesperson for BPA.
BPA has thirty days to complete the investigation. Loyd worked for Portland-based Christenson Electric.
