Plans for ICE facility in Yakima are withdrawn

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash. -- The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is withdrawing plans to build an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Yakima.

GSA wanted nearly 20,000 square feet of leased space to house ICE personnel within the Department of Homeland Security, however plans had to be postponed because of budget restrictions.

GSA anticipates a new plan for a smaller leased facility to be issued in the near future.
