KENNEWICK, Wash;-- It's been up in the air for years but next week the fate of Vista Field Airport could be determined.
Beginning Monday at 6p.m. at the Benton PUD Auditorium commissioners from the Port of Kennewick will vote on the future of Vista Field.
Commissioners plan to hold a special meeting to receive public comments and consider different opinions from the community. You'll be able to tell them what you think about closing the airport and redeveloping the property for commercial use or keeping the airport running and giving it an update.
"Monday night is going to be a real critical piece of the puzzle to just get it to where a decision is made and then staff is probably going to take some time to research what options we can bring forth to the commission," Port of Kennewick Executive Director Tim Arntzen said.
