Consumer Protection Week begins today, and as part of the national campaign the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission want to remind you about the importance of protecting yourself against scams, stolen identity and overall consumer safety.
The focus this week highlights the importance of using good consumer sense at every stage of life.
"Consumer protection goes anywhere from grade school all the way up to retirement age, so there are different things that affect people at different times," BBB's Norma Miller said.
To learn more you can go to the BBB website or the FTC website. There you can find information for all ages as well as games for the younger crowd that will teach safety tips in a fun interactive way.
