KENNEWICK; Wash.- Students from Ridge View Elementary celebrated the success of their book drive today with pizza and time with the Americans hockey team.

The book drive was organized by two Kamiakin High School Seniors, Madison Clement and Lauren Whitehead.

The first day of the book drive the school raked in over one thousand books. In a period of a week and a half the school had over eight thousand new and gently used books.

The books are going to be donated to the Mid-Columbia Reading Foundation and will be delivered this Friday.
