Richland, WA- Columbia Basin College has received a large donation for scholarships.
The Mission Support Alliance, a part of Lockheed Martin, presented a check to CBC today for $175,000.
The scholarship program will not only help students pay for tuition and books, MSA President Frank Figueroa says the program will help his company find the cream of the crop at CBC.
"It's good for business because we can end up being able to get the kind of people we want and get them trained through the great institutions like Columbia Basin College."
MSA will hire CBC students to work part time during the school year and full time during the summer.
The scholarship fund will also help students with financial emergencies outside of the classroom, such as medical bills or auto repair expenses.
