KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Kennewick Police say a blind man is recovering this morning after being hit by a car while crossing the street.
Officers say 65 year old Bernie Vinther and his seeing eye dog were crossing at 6th and Washington around 7:30 Wednesday night when a driver from Pasco hit the two.
Police say Vinther was treated for a twisted ankle and released from Kennewick General Hospital, but his dog died.
No word yet if the driver will be charged. Police are still investigating.
