2010 Home and Garden Show opens Friday at Yakima SunDome
YAKIMA, Wash. - The 2010 Central Washington Home and Garden Show opened Friday at the Yakima SunDome with a renewed emphasis on Built Green projects.
One of the main features of this year's show is "Green Street," a collection of exhibitors providing products that reduce energy use while improving home living.
Carly Faul is the executive officer for Central Washington Home Builders Association, the group that organizes the show each year.
"From the builder to the materials to anything that you want to do with that project, you can find it all here under one roof instead of going to multiple different places to plan your project," said Faul.
The show also hopes to have ideas for those looking to save money in a down economy.
Faul says exhibitors will have suggestion on matching inexpensive items with more expensive materials as accents to keep costs low.
There will also be live demonstrations including a kitchen and bath remodel as well as activities for children throughout the weekend.
The Home and Garden Show runs through the weekend from 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Admission is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors, and free for children 12 and under. Parking at the SunDome is included this year with your ticket.
