Sentencing in Yakima Inmate Death

YAKIMA, Wash. -- A Yakima judge sentenced Jason Roberts Monday, to nearly eight years in prison in the deadly 2007 attack at a Yakima County jail.

Roberts was one of several men accused in the beating death of inmate Damien Long in the August 2007 attack.

Roberts pled guilty to 2nd degree manslaughter in January.

The victim, Long was killed in what police called a planned attack.
