PASCO, Wash. -- Every college head coach has a plan in place to recruit talent. On the CBC softball team, the method has many in the area doing a double take.

"I think he felt like if he was going to take one of us, he had to take both of us," said Sara Bakos.

A packaged deal sure makes recruiting easier for coach. Taylor Bakos and Sara Bakos are identical twins. They're not the only set of twins on the team. Two members of Othello's 2008 state champion softball team lace it up for CBC.

"It's kind of, we make fun of other people for not being twins," said Michelle Wheeler. "It's a twin thing."

At least, you can tell the Wheeler's apart.

"You know even in a meeting I'll be confused," said Head Coach Eric Wiesgerber when talking about the Bakos twins.

"But we act really different," said Taylor Bakos. "But, at first they couldn't tell us apart. They had to tell us by the color of our cleats."

So, which twin set is better

"No one has ever talked about it, at least not in front of us," said Sara Bakos.

"We have no favorite," said Wiesgerber.

Fine. How about this? Which Wheeler is the better player?

"Better not answer that one," said Erica Wheeler.

Finally, some honesty. Now we wonder, what if coach just recruited twin ball players.

"That'd be crazy," said Erica."

Well, food for thought.
