Better Business Bureau warns about possible pyramid scheme
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Better Business Bureau leaders want to warn you about a possible pyramid scheme making its way into Eastern Washington. The company us called Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing.
This company is based out of Kentucky but has been reaching out to different states including Washington. Last week they held a meeting in Yakima trying to recruit people to their business. This is when the Better Business Bureau got involved. They say the company sounds more like a pyramid scheme than a marketing firm. In fact, they've already been issued a temporary Cease and Desist in Montana causing them to stop all transactions. Business consultant, Norma Miller says the company is using well known company names in an attempt to make their marketing strategy seem legit. Her biggest piece of advice is to do your research before making any decisions.
Miller says the group could be making its way to the Tri-Cities to hold meetings and recruit people. She also says BBB has made a report to the Attorney General's office warning them about this company.
