Lourdes doctor hopes health care law will help preventative care
Pasco, WA-The head of the medical staff at Lourdes Health Center says doctors are waiting to see how the new health care law will affect them and their patients.
Doctor Richard Long, president of the 200 primary and specialty care physicians at Lourdes, says he hopes the law will bring basic health care to people without it. "Women who are pregnant who don't have prenatal. Folks with diabetes, their blood sugar needs to be monitored. These folks need to be watched. This is basic health care, and maybe the health care law will help with that."
