KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Planned Parenthood is now using protests against them as a method of fundraising. It's called Pledge-A-Protestor.
Here's how it works, when pro-life protesters show up at their clinics, Planned Parenthood wants supporters of their services to "sponsor" the protester and offer a pledge to Planned Parenthood. This unique fund raiser is in direct response to the pro life "40 Days for Live" campaign.
Pledge-A-Protester is now happening in 179 cities throughout the United States including Kennewick. "The Pledge-A-Protester gives people who are supporters a chance to show with their money how they support Planned Parenthood. And giving women the right to access healthcare and access to family planning services," said Planned Parenthood Development Officer, Mark Lee.
The Pledge-A-Protester campaign will continue through the end of the week. So far the campaign has raised over $15,000.
