The Yakima Police Patrolman's Association claims the man investigating harassment charges against the city's chief of police was biased. Yesterday, City Manager Dick Zais and an investigator cleared Chief Sam Granato of allegations he created a hostile work environment for two YPD officers. Now the union wants a new study done, saying the investigator's employer may have had to foot the bill if Granato was found guilty. But Zais says the investigator's firm only provides administrative analysis and is an independent third party. Union leaders also believe the investigator left information out of his report.

A minor traffic stop on I-90 leads to a drug bust. Kittitas Deputies seized over a half-pound of marijuana and over $1,000 cash from inside a vehicle Wednesday. Deputies arrested 18 year old Amani Summerday of Gig Harbor on possession with intent to deliver charges. He was booked into the Kittitas County Jail.

Yakima police are investigating a hit and run accident on Summitivew Ave. Officers say someone crashed a Dodge Caravan into a light pole and mail boxes in the 9500 block Wednesday night. Police say witnesses saw the driver take off on foot. No details yet on the suspect.
