A man accused of threatening to kill Senator Patty Murray over her support of health care reform has been released from jail after posting a $20,000 bond. The Yakima County Jail confirmed that Charles Alan Wilson was released today. The 64 year old had been held at the jail since FBI agents arrested him Tuesday at his Selah home. Wilson has been charged with one count of threatening a federal official. Prosecutors allege he left several voicemail messages laden with expletives, some of which included threats to Murray, between March 22 and April 4.


Clayton Stafford is the man accused of raping and murdering a young woman 17 years ago. He spoke out today, giving one of KNDO's reporters a written statement titled "crime and Corruption Within the Legal System of Yakima County Court System". Stafford claims a county official mishandled all evidence in Yakima. He says this has caused innocent people to be locked up.


A Zillah businessman is looking to open a strip club on South First Street in Yakima. Jamie Muffet wants to turn an empty carpet store into what he refers to as a gentlemen's club. The club would have dancing, food and non alcoholic beverages. The vacant building is in an industrial zone. If a few changes are made to the building, plans could pass the city's ordinance.
