GRANGER--The city of Granger opened its newest tourist attraction Saturday.
Roughly 100 people came to Hisey Park Saturday afternoon for the grand opening of the "Grand AM-phitheater."
Building the amphitheater only cost the city about $2,000 because local businesses donated roughly $8,000 more to complete the project.
Leaders hope it brings more people to Granger.
"We are providing a sense of community by doing things like this," city Public Works Director Jack Burnes said. "I think it's a very welcome and appreciated service."
Burnes said the city is working on bringing music and other events to the new amphitheater, the first of which is next month.
