Pasco, WA- One week from today, prosecutors and defense attorneys will start picking a jury for a murder trial more than 20 years in the making.
Vicente Ruiz is accused of being the second shooter in the execution-style slayings of five men in a Pasco auto body shop in 1987.
Still up in the air is whether the first shooter will testify. Pedro Mendez Reyna pleaded guilty to the murders in 1994. He has indicated that he may refuse to testify against Ruiz, who is a cousin.
