Motorcycle riders from all over the area came to West Richland today for a benefit poker run to help raise money for a 6-year-old girl named Lyla Gordon.
Lyla has been diagnosed with a rare disease called Silent Sinus Syndrome. Doctors have discovered a small lesion on her brain, which requires expensive surgeries to correct. Her mother says she's grateful so many people came out to show support.
"The only word I can say is amazing," Jessica Patterson, Lyla's mother said. "The one thing my mother has always said to me is that God watches out for everything and he plans and knows exactly what's going to happen. Just to see the turn out of all the people here for her is just amazing and the greatest thing ever."
Riders say they hope to raise $10,000 for Lyla and her family.
