UPDATE: The coroner is closer to identifying the body found in the Naches River this weekend, ruling out two missing person's cases so far.

Yakima County Coroner Jack Hawkins is trying to confirm or eliminate one more missing person from his list. But, says the remains may be of Jose Ortega Jiminez, a 24-year-old Hispanic man. The problem is a lack of dental records, so the coroner is asking local dentist offices to contact him.

The skeleton will likely be moved to Seattle for more analysis.

WEST OF NACHES--Two teenagers fishing Sunday afternoon discovered the skeletal remains of a human body.

Yakima County Sheriff's deputies were called to the Naches River just west of the town of Naches around 12:20 Sunday.

YSO pulled the skeleton out of the river with help from Yakima Police Department detectives.  YPD has several open missing person cases that may match the skeletal remains.

County Coroner Jack Hawkins said it appeared the body had been in the river for years.  He planned to work on identifying the body with dental records tomorrow.
