YAKIMA--Saturday was a perfect day for some spring cleaning, and the Yakima Rotary Club got to it.
They spruced up seven different spots around town, many along the Greenway.
It's part of International Rotarians at Work Day. Rotary clubs all over the world are chipping in to better their community.
The Greenway doesn't get money from the city or county, so it's up to people to give their time.
"Greenway is a heavily volunteer organization," Jim Fitch, Yakima Rotary Club, said. "If it didn't have people like our groups coming along to help on these things, we just wouldn't have this nice facility."
Rotarians also worked around this welcome sign on East Yakima Avenue for a couple hours.
