YAKIMA, Wash. – Davis High School students will return to the stage Thursday for the second week of "Into the Woods," the drama department's spring musical.

"Into the Woods" is an original story that incorporates popular fairy tales characters like Little Red Ridding Hood, Cinderella, and Jack from "Jack and the Beanstalk."

Students make up both the cast and crew of the musical. Many of them balance the show while being a full-time student. They spend hours after school rehearsing months before the show.

Laura Woodall is a member of the crew and says the actors in the cast have strived to make each performance one of a kind.

"They have worked mostly on characterization," she said. "Each [character] is unique, so individual, you will never hear the same line said the same way twice. They change it up every night. "

Performances return to Davis on Thursday and run through Saturday. The show begins at 7:00 p.m., there will be one matinee on May 1 at 2:00 p.m.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for ASB student members and children.
