KENNEWICK, Wash.-- A Kennewick General Hospital employee has started an online petition against a lawsuit filed by Kadlec.
The petition claims Kadlec is trying to monopolize health care.
Both hospitals have asked for more beds but the state will likely only approve one request.
KGH already has approval because they're opening a new campus in Southridge but they also applied for beds in downtown Kennewick.
That caused Kadlec to sue the state against the Southridge hospital. Now Carmen Switzer says she's standing up for her community.
Switzer says she has nearly 400 signatures.
Leaders at Kadlec say they are simply raising questions with the Department of Health regarding KGH's certificate of need.
