Electronic Recycling could help those in need

Posted: Updated:

After years of dealing with old TV's and computers, and unsure of how to get rid of them, one woman has decided to find a company to help out with recycled electronics.

After doing some research Terri Widergren found a company called TruRecycle in Tacoma that takes old electronics, refurbishes them, and gives them to those in need.

Now she's trying to get that company to send a truck here to the Tri-Cities and collect people's recycled goods.

"I hate the idea of things going into our landfills when they can be taken care of, and then the other thing I like about TruRecycle is that, not only are they helping the environment that way, but then they turn around and use whatever money they make to go help the homeless," Terri said.

If you want to join Terri's efforts you can learn more by calling -1-877-672-0982 or visiting www.trurecycle.com
