THE LOWER VALLEY -- Wind gusts up to 65 miles per hour and blowing dust are causing visibility problems in the area. The wind is knocking down power lines and trees and causing zero visibility in some places. A high wind warning and dust storm warning are in effect until 11pm tonight. We will have all the latest on the wind storm and traffic tonight at 5 and 6.


YAKIMA, Wash. -- The 25-year old man who was shot by a Yakima Police Officer has been identified as Celestino Vargas Lemus. Police say he was shot after refusing to put down a gun. Lemus is associated with gangs and is a suspect in a shooting on 8th Street. He is recovering and will be booked into the Yakima County Jail.


TOPPENISH, Wash. -- Services were held today in Toppenish to remember the two Yakama Tribal Members who were killed in a boating accident last Friday. It happened near Wishram, Washington. 29 year old Jessica Lewis of Wapato and 57 year old Wilson Laroque of Toppenish fell overboard when their fishing boat got caught in high winds on the Columbia.
