YAKIMA, Wash. -- Treated waste covered the I-82 ramp on Nob Hill Blvd. and traffic was snarled Tuesday evening after a semi-truck ended up on its side.
The City of Yakima truck was turning onto the eastbound ramp by K-Mart just before 5:00 p.m. and created a traffic jam for almost an hour.
"A lot of times when you have a load shift, I'm not saying that happened but a load will shift on a corner and that's when it will happen," said Rod Johnson of the Yakima Fire Department.
Firefighters say there were no injuries and the ramp reopened after crews cleared the waste.
