The City of Richland owns Columbia Point Golf Course and they're accepting proposals to run it.
City of Richland leaders say they are satisfied with the current operators but they have opened up the possibility for other management firms to come in and run the course.
They say after five years of success for the course in Richland they want to keep that success not only flowing but also they want to see if new improvements can be made also.
"Maybe a few improvements and a few new programs will come out of it but I would certainly anticipate that the programs our current golfing community enjoys so much will remain, regardless of who the management team is," City of Richland's Bill King said.
First proposals are due June 15th and staff will conduct interviews through mid July. They are hoping the transition is done by the end of the year.
If the current management group shows they are the most fit to keep running the course, City leaders say they will keep them in charge.
