Lillard Stepping in as Fever Starting QB For 2nd Straight Week
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- When one guy goes down, the next guy needs to step into his place.
And so far, quarterback Houston Lillard has done just that for the Tri-Cities Fever.
The Fever's 1st starting QB, Zillah grad Andy Collins, continues to battle an injury to his throwing shoulder.
So, Lillard will get his 2nd straight start Saturday against Kent. But fear not, Lillard threw for 6 touchdowns in his first start.
"I think he played very well," said Fever Head Coach Adam Shackleford. "He controlled the game. We still saw some mistakes today on film. But, they are things that are easily corrected, like we saw when Andy was in there. I would expect Houston to be our guy again this week, just because they're still some questions about Andy's health."
