KENNEWICK, Wash. -- UPDATE: Two hydro's will hit the Columbia on Friday. The U-21 and driver Brian Perkins and the U-25 and driver Ken Muscatel will both be in the Tri-Cities testing out their boats.

On Friday, fans in the Tri-Cities area of Central Washington will get a pre-season look at two of the boats expected to compete on the 2010 H1 Unlimited tour.  Owner/driver Dr. Ken Muscatel will be on the Columbia River, getting some badly needed test time in a boat that went through a radical remodel and upgrade in the shop of co-owner Ron Jones, Jr. during the 2009 season.

Greg and Brian O'Farrell and crew will also be on hand with their newly acquired U-21, purchased from Freedom racing of San Diego during the off season. Greg O'Farrell also reported that former Freedom Racing crew chief Kevin Braun has joined the team, and will be flying in for the test session.

O'Farrell added that, "The officials in the Tri-Cities have been great.  They are going to set up the race course and use the opportunity to give their rescue teams some practice.  We will have the course as much as we want from 8am-5pm."

The Tri-City Water Follies Association is excited to host the boats for spring training. Mike Denslow, President commented, "It's wonderful the boats have chosen our area to train" Adding, "It motivates our fans and volunteers and gives us a chance to  perform essential rescue and patrol boat training.

O'Farrell said the team will test three engines, 4 to 5 propellers and several gear combinations to see what works in their newly painted white, green and black boat sponsored by Albert Lee Appliance.

O'Farrell also said driver Brian Perkins will have a chance to "air it out."  Adding, "We want to see what the new boat can do."
