Pasco, WA- A man about to stand trial for five murders say he's not getting a fair shake.
Vicente Ruiz spoke up in court today, upset after the judge didn't excuse a prospective juror, despite the person conceding he had read newspaper articles about the case earlier this week.
Because of media coverage, the defense team argues it won't be able to find twelve impartial jurors in Franklin County.
Superior Court Judge Cameron Mitchell yesterday denied the defense request to move the trial out of Franklin County.
After three weeks of interviewing more than 160 prospective jurors, prosecutors say they expect to seat a jury on Monday.
The trial is expected to last four to six weeks.
