Judge on track to seat Ruiz Jury

Posted: Updated:

Pasco, WA- Prosecutors will call their first witnesses to the stand tomorrow in a high profile murder trial.

This afternoon Superior Court Judge Cameron Mitchell is expected to seat the jury to hear the evidence against Vicente Ruiz, accused of gunning down five men in a Pasco auto body shop in 1987.

The jurors come from a pool of more than 160 people who've been interviewed over the past three weeks about what they know about the 23-year-old murder case.

Last week the defense team failed to convince the judge to move the trial out of Franklin County because of media coverage over the years.
