Sewer emergency in Grandview

Posted: Updated:

GRANDVIEW, Wash. -- The City of Grandview is looking into potential sewer main problems affecting an area on Sandhill Road.

Interim City Administrator, Cus Arteaga, said a sewer transmission main adjacent to 170 Sandhill Road may have collapsed this morning.

City staff along with the Department of Ecology and a local contractor are working to clear the affected area in order to assess and evaluate the problem.

The city is averaging about 1.3 million gallons per day of wastewater that could be affected by this potential problem and entering the Sand Canyon water drain.
