KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Local attorney Diehl Rettig has passed away. Rettig was in Spokane when he suffered a stroke and passed away.

Rettig is well known in the Tri-Cities for his involvement in community development projects as well as Rotary and Kennewick Man of the Year in 1995. He also represented many high profile defendants. Rettig served as a member of TriDec's Board of Directors for 8 years. Friend and President/CEO of Tridec, Carl Adrian says Rettig was an iconic leader and will be missed by many.

"A committed individual to the community.  I think he really wanted to see this community grow and prosper and survive post Hanford.  And was committed to expanding his time and resources to make that happen," said Adrian.

Rettig was only 66 years old.
