YAKIMA, Wash. - The Central Washington Home Builders Association has chosen six home improvement projects throughout the city to showcase this weekend as part of the 2010 Remodeled Homes of Tours.
People can visit any of the locations Friday through Sunday and talk to the contractors behind the work.
Brice Baxter is chairman of the annual event and his company, Baxter Construction, is hosting one of the six sites. He says this is a busy time for him and consumers looking to complete construction on their homes while the weather is nice will have to start soon.
"Homeowners that are wanting to have projects done before summer arrives so they can enjoy their projects through the summer really need to start contacting contractors now," said Baxter.
The six locations offer a range of projects from remodeled kitchens to complete home transformation and one house expansion.
You can purchase tickets at each project site as well as Smitty's Conoco, the Yakima Visitor Information Center, and the CWHBA Office on 3301 W. Nob Hill Blvd.
Admission is $6 to visit all locations. Hours are Friday 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
