You may have seen some extra planes flying around the Tri-Cities most of the day.
It was all for a special aviation day open to the public at Bergstrom Aircraft. Families were able to come to Pasco to learn more about flying and what it takes to get a pilots license. Pilots say there's nothing else like it.
"There is no other feeling like the feeling you get when you taxi out onto the runway and you rack the throttle and the plane accelerates then you feel the plane lifting into the air. The instant you get airborne your spirits and everything else just comes alive," pilot Jerald Woodcock said.
If you are interested in getting a pilots license, Bergstrom Aircraft is hosting a ground school program beginning in two weeks. 40 people have already signed up.
