Vote for Kennewick High School in Pepsi Refresh contest
KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Kennewick High School students are in the running for $25,000 to beautify their school and they need your help.
Students in John Garvey's social studies course entered the Pepsi Refresh Project. The company is donating money to projects that will help the community.
Kennewick High students want to make their 100-year-old school look better by planting shade trees, flowers, installing benches, and putting in a veteran's memorial at the flagpole.
Students say all of this will benefit more than just the school. Gerardo Alvarado, a sophomore, says, "We know we can change the community by getting these $25,000 and our school will look better, help students, help the school, help the community... Hopefully you vote for us."
The students need you to vote for them online. You can also watch a video they made and read a full description of their project proposal, just click here.
