PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Washington State Cougars got in in their final practice in Pullman Tuesday afternoon before making the trip to Fayetteville, Arkansas for the NCAA baseball regionals.
The Cougs will face the Kansas State Wildcats on Friday night, first pitch set for 5:05pm.
This is the second straight year the Cougs have made the post-season and those that were on the team last year will hope to draw on that experience this time around.
"Last year was like, we were just happy to be there," said Outfielder Kyle Johnson. "Soon as our name got called when we were in that camp room everyone was going crazy, we were just so excited just to be going, making a postseason run. It was the first time in a long time and this year it's more of a calm, cool, collected feeling. We were expecting to go to the postseason, now not only are we expecting to go but we're expecting to win."
